Switching to EVN Group is easy

1. Creation of a draft contract

The first step in transitioning to EVN is generating a draft contract. Our contracts are simple and easy to understand, so it shouldn't take you much time to read them. We will answer any questions you may have on the phone number +420 775 567 709.

2. Signing of documents

In the second step, you will sign a contract with us, or provide us with the necessary documents.

3. Waiting for EVN to start receiving

We will review and check the signed contracts and documents once more. If anything else needs to be added, we will contact you right away. In the ideal case, everything is already under our direction and we will arrange the transition to EVN for you. It is not possible to estimate exactly when you will start receiving energy from EVN, it depends on the contract with your current supplier. The usual transition time is around two months in the case of non-binding contracts. We will keep you informed about the entire transition to EVN.

4. Start of subscription

Usually, 1-5 days before the start of collection, we will ask you via SMS to send the status of the gas or electricity meter. We will then send you a letter by post with a schedule of advance payments for the next 12 months.

It is not necessary to change the electricity meter and gas meter. Nothing changes at your point of consumption, the electricity and gas provider will change, only the header on the invoice will be different.

The meter (gas meter / electricity meter) is the property of the distributor. When changing the supplier, the meter is not removed, it is purely an administrative matter.

It depends on the type of contract you have with your current energy supplier. If the contract is for an indefinite period, the usual notice period is 3 months. In the case of a fixed-term contract, you must hold out until its end, however, we will take care of the timely termination of the original contract to avoid its possible extension.

In the event of a gas leak or power failure, contact the fault line of the distribution system operator, who is responsible for the functionality of the meter in your distribution area according to energy legislation.

Electricity meters are always replaced or sealed by distributors (ČEZ, EG.D, PRE) who are the owners of the electricity meter. Who will take care of the gas or electricity meter if I change supplier? Changing the supplier is only an administrative matter. The distributor remains the same and does not change and will therefore continue to be responsible for consumption readings and managing the gas / electricity meter.

Switching times for VT and NT cannot be changed. The electricity meter, including the HDO device, is the property of the distribution. These times will not change even after a change of supplier.

HDO is a mass remote control system, through which the customers’ low and high tariffs are switched remotely during the day and some appliances are controlled at the same time. The price of electricity during the period of validity of the low tariff is cheaper for the customer. During the period of its validity, the customer’s devices used for heating buildings or for heating hot water are switched on.
